About the Developer behind Revenant Returns

hi, I’m Thomas, for the past month I have been the sole developer of Revenant Returns, and today I want to tell everyone about me, to have a stronger connection to this community

for many years I wanted to be a game developer, since I was 12 I have dreamed of becoming a game developer, but I never had a PC to do it, when I was like 14 I dabbled with game development with Unity on my mums 2013 MacBook Air, it was a slow laptop and I never knew how to code, but that experience was short lived when I kinda stopped using my mums Mac after a month or two. But 3 years later I got my first PC (same one I’m using now, except I upgraded ram) on the 5th of January 2023, from the moment I got the pc I started game development. My first game was Phil the Pill interstellar , in some ways I regret making the game since a vast majority of it was just standard assets, but if I didn’t make that game I wouldn’t be where I am now. Later in the same year, I began development of FurFront, this time I made almost everything, except textures, and some code was made by ChatGPT, but development has paused on that game since I am working on Revenant Returns

unfortunately on the 30th of January 2024, my family’s home was severely flooded , the house was basically a bungalow with an upstairs storage area, my family and I lost everything, the only things I salvaged was my PC and some of my clothes. Not long after me and my family moved back to England, right now we are living with my sister, we are still looking for a house of our own, we don’t have that much money, my dad has severe spinal stenosis, and so far 2024 has been awful. As a way to cope, I began developing Revenant Returns, it has taken my mind of reality

this is why Revenant Returns has an optional donation, my family needs it, and it will also go towards developing this game. But my own priority is to make fun games for you to play, and I hope you like them.
