Working On A Brand New Puzzle


I have been working on a brand new keypad puzzle, it has been a pain to get working properly, but I’ve gotten it to work properly. This puzzle currently has a 4-6 digit code that is randomly generated, to find the code you’d have to explore the level. If you get the code right you will progress, but if you fail the code too many times it will sound an alarm and you’ll be hunted down by a monster.


Depending on what chapter you’re on, the keypad will be less forgiving, for example, in the first chapter it may only be a 4 digit code and you can fail three times before you get hunted down, but in a later chapter it may be a 6 digit code and you can only fail a code once before you get hunted down.


I knew from the beginning of developing this game, I should have more than one puzzle, the puzzle that is currently in the game isn’t really a puzzle, it’s more of a fetch quest, so to have more diverse gameplay I plan on having at least 6 unique puzzle systems (puzzles that are unique from each other) in the full game.
